Kate Bush Classic

Watch as Kate Bush shows us how it's done!

This gem of the vastly neglected genre of 'occult rock opera' is from Kate's short film The Line, the Cross, and the Curve and features a song from her album Red Shoes. We came across it recently while describing the underlying structure of the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram to a couple members of our working group that were only passingly familiar with it. Suddenly one of the two sat up, shocked that she had in fact been familiar with (a slightly altered, and more catchy version) of the LBRP since childhood, when Red Shoes was one of her first treasured cassette tapes. Our meeting immediately adjourned to plumb the depths of YouTube to uncover this gem, and devolved quickly into a late-night orgy of Peter Gabriel videos and Kenneth Anger flicks.

Good shot Mr Gandy, I’d never even heard that Kate Classic!
I like it so much I’m even gonna pay for it on iTunes and that don’t happen to often.

Just found your blog after listening to the fantastic OutThere podcasts. Keep up the good/bad work Mr G. (bad meaning dark of course ;-)
